Can. Golden amber with a lasting inch of white head. Aroma of grilled mango, light citrus, some pine. Sweet at first but drying resinous and bitter at the end. Pretty good of a type of WCIPA I don’t love.

Can. Pretty much opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma of oaty crackers, oranges lifted with a lime edge, pineapple. Slightly sweet with wintery oranges juice, tropical fruit and a bit of herbal hop burn at the end (which puts paid to the softness).

Can. Clear deep red with a large pale beige head. Aroma of bread crust, caramel, some chocolate, mild spices, a touch of orange. Malty but pretty light bodied and not very sweet so the bitterness snaps even though there’s not heaps of it. Can’t see a date but guess this is very fresh and (so) the balance works really well.

375ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light toffee caramel, citrus hops. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a rich, malt, juicy citrus, light pepper spice, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Mornington's new can design looks like they tried to print an A3 page on A4. Just hazy golden amber with a fluffy cm of white head. Aroma of lemon, mandarin, pine, some mango. Light bodied with some crackers and some peach before resin and tropical fruit creep up. Modest bitterness. It's a bit hollow apart from the hops, but they are nice.

Quarantinnie. Amber with a white head that fades to a cm. Aroma of oranges, dough, brandy. Full bodied, lowish carbonation - could have used a bit more. Sweet and heavy with dough, cooked oranges, spices and oak. Not all that boozy but there's little of the lean to dry or bitterness at the end that I like in a tripel. Lots of good flavours though.

From a 330ml bottle on 10/2/2020 (2017 vintage). Pours a deep, deep brown with a medium tan head which disappears quickly. Has a big choc, caramel malt aroma. The flavour is dominated by caramel, with good dashes of milk and dark chocolate, toffee, and a hint of licorice. Has a mild roasty bitterness at the back. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, the carbonation softish. A really lovely impy - a beautifully balanced and delicious treat.

Can. Cloudy orange with a white head. Lots of passionfuit in the aroma with some orange and Dubbin. Light bodied - might be a bit slippery but it's hard to tell because it's a bit on the fizzy side. Tart and a little astringent (like passionfruit) with some crackers behind and a dryish finish. It's pretty refreshing.

Can. Pale orange. Some biscuit on nose. Stone fruit forward. Very drinkable without being memorable.
