Draft @ Fiera della birra di Forli ’14. Dorée sans vraiment montrer le trouble paille habituel, col blanc léger. Arôme offre un parfum houblonné noble alternant sur un léger herbacé et fruité citronné. Je note peu de portance sur l’ester. Palais est sec avec ce profil typique allemand. Le tout est propre et facile à boire. Petit note levure en retrait et ici aussi je manque à y distinguer les esters. Pas mauvaise, mais le tout manque royalement de me convaincre quant au terme de weisse.

0.5l bottle #605 shared with The Tasting Crew. It is really loaded with floaters and particles swirling around in the glass. Looks fairly nice with a deep amber almost brown-red colored body that has a small quickly fading bubbly translucent and sidesticking top. The nose is actually a bit interesting with a nice deep sweetness, some woody sherry sweetness actually and it has a little bit fruitiness with hints of alcohol. It's not super complex but still quite interesting and nice. In the taste I get a strong vanilla sweetness. Definitely not cloying, but sweet. Quite soft on the carbonation and gliding oily in the mouth. Sweet really over ripe near rotten fruits, some wet leafs and a sweet raisin/sherry sweetness in the finish. Not any real traces of the alcohol here. Actually quite alright. 09.10.2013

Trübes orangegelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, säuerlich. Geschmack hefig, Gewürze, fruchtig malzig.

Sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit mittelmäßiger Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Kaffee, Schokolade, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, Schokolade.

Clear deep copper-amber color, small beige head. Caramelly, ryeish, grainy aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor is also caramelly, "cara malty" with low bitterness and harsh grainy notes. Doesn’t taste like "artigianale" at all.
