Another clear golden English bitter from cask at GBBF 09. This one has got a modest aroma of fruits and a moderate, rounded taste of lemony hops. Mild hop bitterness on the swallow. Feels quite good in the mouth, a bit lightweight, though (Earls Court, 05.08.2009).

(Cask at GBBF, London Earl’s Court, 5 Aug 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, peaches and lemony hops. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, peaches and a grassy, floral bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, with some sweetness. Generous grassy, citric hop character. Refreshing and highy drinkable.

Half pint from cask enjoyed in relaxing surrounding at The Carpenter Arms, Marble Arch. Spotty, lacing head. Clear copper body. Nice citric aroma. Smooth flavour of hop resin and rounded bitter aftertaste. Medium to thin bodied. A careful, but decent start to my third drinking day in London (03.08.2009).

Cask@GBBF 2009. Yellow color, not much head. Apple fruity nose with touch of lemony hops. A bit papery, lemony hops. Fruity overall but watery. Lemony dish cleanser kind of hops in the aftertaste.
