Proudly Brewed in Yorkshire since 1999

The award-winning Salamander beers was founded in 1999. Dr Daniel Gent (a doctor of brewing and one of Salamander's founders) mission was to bring high quality independently brewed beer to the masses. To this day Salamander continues to surprise and delight its many customers.

And we haven’t lost our touch for beer either.

Brewing ceased in early 2019 and restarted in late Summer 2021.

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough. Paleish gold, thin off whtie head. Like the Albatross, this is perfumed, bit sweeter, some rose petal. Funny, almost the same beer as the Albatross but stronger in alcohol. Slightly sweeter, good dryness no finish.

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough. Pale gold with thin white head. Perfumed flowery/citrusy pale beer. Decent hoppy bite on finish. I quite like the perfumedness of it. Decent. Good fullness and rounded flavours.

Cask cellar run at Ship & Mitre April Fest 08. Black with dark brown edges. Watery, hoppy stout. Yes, some roasted malts, yes a little sourness from some dark fruit. Tasty and a little different to the dry roasted stouts. This is more sour.
