Gusher! Murky amber with no head. Aroma is cakey, malty, caramel. Flavour too. Decent flavour. Shame about the gusher.

Hazy brown. Aroma is dried fruit cake dough raisin slight lime caramel dark honey some chestnut... let's say complex. Taste is slightly sweet cake dough with more dried fruit melasses and complex yeasty stuff. Overall pretty malt forward. Drinkable. Good balance. Long finish of slightly fizzy caramel and dark malt with more cake dough. I really like it.

Bottle from somewhere or other. Medium brown, decent head. Brown sugar, complex yeasty nose. Very nice complexity on the tongue, big and caramel-biscuity, smooth raisiny Belgian flavors. Excellent!

Montagnarde 1979 Ambree Slightly exploding bottle. Smell- weak malt, weak Belgian tones. Foam- thin, malty, weak roast. The Head is small, white in color. Appearance- simple label, generic orange bottle cap. Bit cloudy orange-brown color, no carbonation. From- snifter Taste- weak malt, caramel, alcohol, weak to medium Belgian notes, some sweetness. In general small, fine, simple Belgian. Alcohol is not hidden, but it's not bad at all. Can't say I will seek this again, but oh well, Belgian beers originally brought me into this, so I appreciate it.

Brown with a creamy, beige head. The optics are off-putting: „floaters“ would be an understatement. Looks like half liquid, half sediment. The beer is expired by a few months, so I‘ll cut it some slack here. Still, I felt the need to filter this one. Aroma of brown sugar and prunes. Taste is mildly sweet with lingering toffee and cherries. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, surprisingly slightly watery texture given the optics. Really can’t make up my mind about this one.
