Description
Founded in June 1999, in Milton, a village on the outskirts of Cambridge. In July 2012, Milton Brewery moved premises to the neighbouring village of Waterbeach, securing the future of the brewery, providing much needed expansion and allowing for further growth.

The Milton brewery is a traditional English Ale brewery, albeit lurking in the cunning disguise of a 1980s industrial unit. We take the finest English Maris Otter malted barley, high quality whole hops and local brewing water to produce our award-winning ales.

Dark brown color, almost black. Light chocolate aroma. Round body, with a good and smooth mix of caramel and chocolate, very light instant coffee at the end. Simple but good.

Nice aroma of fruity hops, some toffee. It has a good toffee flavor, with a hint of bread and cookies, and with a quite strong hopping, a bit fruity and earthy. Very good.

Hazy dark mahogany color. There is a light aroma of burnt malt. The mouthfeel is light, with flat caramel flavor, light chocolate, low bitterness and a light touch of burnt malt and paper. Nothing special.

Blond color. The aroma is simple, a bit grassy. It has a fair malt flavor and a correct bitterness, a light earthy touch raises the score, but nothing exciting.

Cask at GBBF08. Sourish and farty aroma. Very dark brown colour. The flavour is interesting, a bit sour, but also sweet and roasted with hop bite. The sourness dominates, but it is still OK balanced.
