Description
Hello and welcome to Brothers Cider, the home of the original festival cider. We are Francis, Jonathan, Matthew and Daniel and for 14 generations, since 1658, when uncle Gabriel first sold his barrels around Wells, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury, our family has strived to make light, refreshing ciders using a variety of fruit. We are constantly exploring new recipes and love to get your feedback on our latest creations.
We first started selling our Pear Cider at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995 near what was then called the Jazz World Stage. These days it is called The West Holts Stage but our bar is still in the same place. Over the years, festival goers kept asking us if it was possible to get our drink when the festival was over and so we decided to market it to pubs and supermarkets. Now you can get it all over the country and at other festivals besides Glastonbury. See you at the bar!

Taste is sweet, sugary, berry fruit flavourings, blackberry, raspberry & strawberry, jammy, blackcurrant, cordial-like. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, sweet finish. Very sweet and artificial.

Bottle from Ken Warne, Darlington. Extremely light green, almost clear in appearance. The coconut in here is dominant in both aroma and taste, with some tangy light citrus available. There's a dryness to the cider too, which again comes from the coconut, which also provides the aftertaste.

Bottle from B&M Bargains, Rochdale. Hazy pink coloured with a fizz. Tastes pretty much like the suckable boiled sweet with the same flavours. Same in aroma.

500ml can from B&M, Darlington. Pale golden colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of green apple, syrupy note. Taste is sweetish, fleshy green apple, cordial-like, then drying. Thin watery mouthfeel, light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry slightly tart green apple finish. Kind of OK.

Tap at the Little Island, Changi Village Brewpub, Singapore. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a round frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is literally big toffee and big apples! The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a big sweet toffee caramel, tart apple palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Rather nice and a big sweetie, but would become rather sickly, rather quickly I feel.

0,5 flaske delt på hyggelig rbhd-samling på Gandal feb-19: klar og lys rødgylden med kort skum. Intens aroma og smak av bringebærdrops. Kiwi-smsken sitter litt lengre bak. For søt for meg.
