Bottled (BB 05/2007). Dark hazelnut brown, good tan head. Woody hops, wet socks and licorice in the nose. Licorice, woody hops also in the flavor. Weak, watery body. Hoppy, salty aftertaste. Diluted with the water way too much.

Bottled. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity. Flavour is dry hops, malts and slight alcoholic sweetness along with weak caramel. Not the best balanced beer...

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear amber, minimal head. Aroma of glue. Sweet, medium bodied and rather fruity. Alcohol is extremely evident, as there is not enough malt to balance the 7.2%, and the hops fails to play a signiciant part.

Cask at the Swan, Bicester. Copper coloured beer that was really malty also a bit sweet but unfortunately served too cold, not the first time I have encountered this problem in this pub. Once this had warmed up a bit it really was quite ok but didn’t differ too much from the usual Brakspear style.

On bottle 0,5l at Tromsø Ølfestival 17 Aug 06. Dark red-brown colour. A tanned head that soon disappeared. Sweet aroma leaving you with a short sweet aftertaste with fruity hints.

Bottle conditioned so I’d left it to stand for a week - poured a sparkling clear amber with a thick white head. Strong aroma of hops and a pleasantly bitter taste.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy and dark orange coloured body with a huge beige head, mostly diminishing. Slightly perfumed aroma with notes of dark fruit. Full bodied. Vinous flavours with notes of plums and berries. Hoppy and yeasty hints towards the end (enjoyed at Tromsø Ølfestival 17.08.2006).
