[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy reddish amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity - and so is the flavor, but it is also very fresh, from a very well balancing hops, which gives it a slight hoppy bitter end. Nice session beer.

Clear copper color, generous head. Light aroma, with some malt, citrusy hops, sweetish. Medium body, with a quite good malt flavor, turning into a more toffeish feeling while the bitterness raises. Better than expected.

Cloudy amber color. Fresh aroma, malty, citrus fruits and maybe a light infection. A bit of malt flavor, pretty good hopping, solid, quite astringent at the end, oak astringency. Pleasant.

Thin, coarse-laced head; dark brown body. Faint sourish aroma. Taste much like aroma: bitter, sourish, thin. Dry aftertaste, with lingering pine needles. Some wood. Not at all bad, but a little boring. (On cask at the Anglesea Arms.)

Bottle: Hazy, orangey coloured, huge rocky head; spicy, hoppy nose with a tinge of yeast and sulphur; moderate bitter flavour; long, hoppy-aromatic ("english") finish, very spicy with some citrusy notes. A well rounded, fine Bitter.............

Bottled. In Norway this beer is called Brakspear Organic Beer, but it seems to be the same, according to the brewer’s website. It pours an orange golden and unclear color, with a nice white head. Floral aroma with a little hopbitterness. The flavour is quite light. Crisp, hopbitter aftertaste. (051001)

Gravity cask at Lobster Pot, West Malling This wasn’t kept very well, which is a shame. Dark brown with no head, but I couldn’t finish it. 1/5 Re-rate Cask handpull at Wetherspoon’s Folkestone. Chestnut colour with thin lasting beige head. Attractive yeast/hop/caramel aroma. More yeasty caramel in mouth before a really drying hop finish. Quite a beauty of its style

Bottle. Reddish brown. Wonderful aroma of hops and malt. Good berry and toffee and roasted malts. The fruit is in fact stunning. Good hoppyish finish and good balance overall. Good beer

Cask. Starts off with an astringent bitterness which is quite nice. Turns malty and hop fruity. Dark copper colour, stable white big-bubbled head. White-vinous quality with an uncompromising bitterness.

500 ml brown bottle, available in Norway (ICA Maxi). Label layout is different and reads "Brakspear Bottle Conditioned Organic Beer", but this must be the same beer. ABV is the same, 4.6%. Pours very fizzy with an enormous foamy head. Deep golden / amber colour. Pleasant hoppy aroma (Fuggles, Goldings), hints of toffee and butterscotch. Moderate malty flavour with a well balanced hoppiness, toffee sidenotes. Mouthfeel maybe a bit thin. Bitter finish. Nice. (Has become one of my "go-to" beers.)
