Not sure I get these session ipa. Who want to drink a belligerent nasty IPA brew if the alky is not there? Go figger. Anyway....Plae yellow with a slight haze. Oh my, big strong ipa stifling IPA flaors from the start. Smacks you, in an oily way, on your tongue. Bitter terrbly all the way. Rude and nasty, freaking nasty on style. Mouth coating soapy feel all the way down. Ruined my taste buds for the next hour. WEW.

Tap at Growler Garage, Burlington. Originally rated 20160214. Colour is clear light orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, some citrus, sweetness, some hops and malts.

Treated as a California Common (and had two glasses worth), this was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a transparent yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that stuck around for a good minute and a half. Light lacing clings to the side of the glass.
The smell takes in some sweet corn glossing over some light sweet breadiness and then some light sweet grassiness.
The taste copied the smell adequately. Dries out in the flavor. Slight biscuity aftertaste. Dry sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat a light on the body with a dry sessionable feel to it. Not wet like a normal \"Cali Common\" I’m used to. Carbonation seems to hit fine.
Overall, as a California Common, it just seems way too dry. Pretty sure if I was going for the style, I’d rather have Anchor’s before this. And probably Simple Roots (VT) and Three Heads (NY) before this. No go, Otter Creek, sorry guys, try again.

Pours light gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Tropical fruit and butterscotch aromas. Sharp with butterscotch upfront turning to mango and bitter earth in the lasting finish.

Draft at the Reservoir - Waterbury, VT. Pours clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. Lovely citrusy hops in the nose, some mellow pale biscuits. Light-medium sweet flavor, with more smooth and juicy citrus fruits, moderate piney bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish with notes of bright citrus and biscuity sweetness. Solid pils.

Bottle pour into tulip glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is strong floral hops with some pine. Appearance is hazy golden yellow pour with chunks of yeast--don’t pour out the bottom 10th--with finger-width white foamy head with poor retention, nice lacing and no sparkle. Taste is strong floral sweetness with mild malt backbone and pine. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, lively (too strong) carbonation and crisp, dry, lightly bitter finish. Overall, appearance was not so great, but was forgivable, taste was strong but not complex and palate was dominated by too much carbonation. All the right ingredients were here, but they didn’t come together just right.

Pale yellow. Tap bocktown. Slight BO aroma on an otherwise perfumy mild sweet aroma. Nice lacing fer sure. Thicker mouthfeel even tho it has some detectable co2, something odd for most rude ipa. Stronger and somewhat in yer face. A finish that makes the bitterness hard to ignore after a while.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Aroma is resin, pine, citrus, spice. Appearance is hazy gold with good sparkle, two-finger head white foamy head with sticky foamy lacing. Taste is as aroma. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and lively carbonation accentuating spiciness from the rye. Overall, a nice IPA that gets a little extra boost/interest from the rye addition.
