Description
In 1984, we were the first craft brewers in Ontario. With a dedication to precision, detail and pure ingredients, we were – and still are – making the kind of beer we’d choose to drink ourselves. As Ontario’s first craft brewer, we look back to the past with pride and are excited for the future.

Can from the LCBO. Clear copper colour with a quick fading one finger white head. Nose is mostly malts with honey and biscuit and just a hint of floral hops. Taste follows the nose with a moderate honey and toffee sweetness and only a hint of bitterness. Mouth is quite light and thin with soft carbonation. Not much else to say. 5/3/4/2/9-

This smokey buggar poured a dark Amber colour with a minimal head. Scents include bandaids, peat, smoke, bacon, rubber and wine. First swig was kind of flat with not much carbonation. Flavours smoked cedar, oysters, soya sauce and malt. Finish is smooth with smokey flavour lingering.

Tasting at Ferris’, can
Dark chestnut color, clean, with small head. Lean, smooth, not too dry, with mild caramel aroma and flavor, the bitterness is a bit on the low side.
Clean, but somehow bland, like most beers in the style.

Tasting at Ferris’, can
Blond color, small head. Cereally malt aroma. The malt flavor has too much cereals and straws; correct bitterness, lightly herbaceous.
Clean, simple.
