Sampled a single bottle, and turned out to be pretty bad. I'm not sure if the bottle was held in bad conditions, or if the beer was just bland and bad?

Golden colour, white, good head. Nose made up by pale malts, grain, chaff. Very dry impression, alcohol, slightly perfumed and peppery. There is a slight sweetness underlying. Aftertaste is sweet. A good triple - but I estimate the old name, Cuvée St. Amand, was more colourful.

Found as "Wittekerke." Can. White head that didn't last long. Citrus aroma. Looks like champagne with lots of bubbles. Thin. Lacks flavor, tastes like a light lager with fruit. Very disappointing as this is one of my favorite styles.

Amber color, generous creamy head. Biting malt and hop aroma; light but interesting; just a little vinous. Malty, sweetish in the front, more evident bitterness at the end; good but not outstanding.

Clear-golden beer with slight orange shine. Yeast clings to the bottle. Oxidised nose (bottle 1 yr. old). Some hops, very pronounced wheat aroma, coriandre. Some oxidation in taste, but clean overal. Spicey (coriandreseed, very little citrus) but not overpowering. Coriandre builds up however. Some grain flavour and hint of honey. Mouthfeel not really light. Good for a Belgian wheatbeer, but not really refreshing. Aftertaste becomes stickey, with spicey, liquorice-like flavour retronasal, fairly long lingering.

If info received is correct, this beer would have been brewed for the Brugge diocese! Strange with this ironic name... Beer shows gushing! Quite pale tripel. Quite bitter taste, with artificailly tasting underlying sweetness: liquorice and something else besides. Definitely some diacetyl. Sample with some light-induced autolysis? Aftertaste: strange sweetness takes some time to dissipate, then remains of bitterness turns to dry tripel-taste. Alcohol quite prominent.

Not as spicy as other triples. Bit grainy spicy aroma. Some sweet apple taste. Slightly bitter finish. A lot of triples are much better i have to say.

I sampled the 1996 version in 2001. Brownish red apperance, not much head. Slighty acidic, mild and soft with hint of cask character. Refreshing and complex.
