Superficial tasting at company beer tasting. Unclear golden body under a big head. Medium sweet, moderate oak, moderate hops, a bit floral and a light funky hint. Quite nice, but somehow I was expecting a bit more from this package.

25cl bottle from Vanuxeem. Drunk recovering from a 160 mile bike ride the day before. Pours a clear gold, patchy white head, with a constant stream of bubbles from the bottom of the glass, gradually building up the head a bit more. Didn't expect this to be so sweet, not sure what to make of it. Cardboard breadiness, hints of honey, medium carbonation.. brings to mind the sweetness of old-style Belgian sweet stouts and faros.. if drunk in this context I suppose it is quite traditional. Not one I'd go out of my way to revisit.
