Poured from a 16 oz can dated May 1, 2024. Aroma is very fruit forward with lots of peach, nectarine, guava, passion fruit, pineapple and tropical citrus. Lighter dank, fusel notes. Light cracker malt and alcohol notes. Pours a very hazy, pale, golden straw color with a medium large, fairly thick, fluffy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Medium lacing and medium length legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderate bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Very fruity just like in the aroma with lots of peach, nectarine, guava and passion fruit. Lighter tropical citrus, pineapple and dank, oily notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice DDH DIPA. Very New England style with super fruity hop notes and esters. Light malt profile, fairly sweet and low bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden and this is pretty easy drinking despite the size. Very juicy.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated May 1, 2024. Aroma is very Simcoe heavy with tons of grapefruit pith, citrus and pine resin notes. Dank and oily with a touch of tropical fruit and berries. Light cracker malt and alcohol notes. Pours a rather clear, gold color with a medium large, medium thick, frothy, white head that recedes somewhat quickly to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Medium light lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Moderately high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Lots of grapefruit pith with lighter dank, oily, pine resin notes. Light citrus with hints of tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid pale ale. Bright, super prevalent Simcoe notes abound. Light malt body adds just enough character to carry all the Simcoe. Alcohol is well hidden. Pretty crushable.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated April 11, 2024. Aroma is fairly hop forward with moderate notes of sweet citrus and dank, resinous pine. Light bready grain notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a clear, brilliant, yellow-gold with a medium large, medium thick, frothy, white head that recedes fairly quickly to a small, thin, film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light cracker malt and bready notes. Fairly high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderate citrus hop notes with quite a bit of dank, resinous pine that lingers into the finish. Fairly dry, crisp finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid malt liquor. Nice hop notes, especially in the aroma. The crisp, dry finish really accentuates the pine resin notes in the flavor. Light, crisp malt flavor.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated March 19, 2024. Aroma is very dank and fusel-like with lots of cat piss and some gooseberry and passion fruit notes. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a murky, golden orange with a medium large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers in big clumps on the edges. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderately strong bitterness with light alcohol notes. Hop flavor is more fruity than the aroma with citrus, gooseberry and passion fruit notes. Still quite a bit of dank, fusel, oily resin notes but less than in the aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice DIPA. I love nelson hops, and while I prefer them when they are more fruity like the flavor, I also like the dank, fusel, oily resin notes like in the aroma. This is probably my favorite hop and a great expression of it. Aroma is so dank while the flavor is super fruity. Balanced malt notes, bitterness and alcohol.
