Can at the DP tasting, enormous thanks Barba & Elena! Murky yellow body, off-white head. Heaps of pineapple and some peach mixed with resin in the aroma, oooh, two months old, this is still freshish-smelling! The taste shows that it's not 100% in, but I'd almost guess it was around 80-90%, slightly oxidized pineapple, a lot of resin, pungent, herbal, somewhat prickly and tart, sweetish but drinkable. Just lovely, with very well hidden ABV. Huge respect! Realistically 3.8-3.9, but impressed enough to give it this much.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated July 10, 2024. Aroma is unsurprisingly very citra forward. Tons of grapefruit, orange, and tangerine with a bit of lime. Light gooseberry and tropical fruit notes with a hint of dank, oily resin. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a very hazy, dull, golden straw color with a fairly large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Fairly high lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Medium high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Lots of citrus notes with lighter passion fruit and lychee notes. A light dank, resin note in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid hazy DIPA and a great expression of citra hops. This is the type of beer that reminds me why citra hops were all the rage for a few years. So bright and citrusy in the aroma with a bunch of tropical fruit notes in the flavor.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated July 10, 2024. Aroma is hop forward with lots of nelson character. Tons of fusel notes with lots of gooseberry, tropical citrus, passion fruit and cat piss. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol. Pours a clear, yellow-gold with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Fairly high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Lots of hop character with passion fruit, gooseberry, tropical citrus, and lighter fusel, cat piss notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice IPA with a ton of great nelson sauvin character. More fusel in the aroma but fruitier in the flavor. Balanced bitterness, alcohol notes and malt.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated June 12, 2024. Aroma is fairly hop forward with grapefruit, orange, lime and lighter tropical fruit notes. Medium light dank, oily, resin and pine notes. Medium light cracker malt notes with a hint of caramel and light alcohol notes. Pours a slightly hazy, golden orange color with a medium large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Fairly high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Medium light hop notes of tropical fruit, orange, lime and grapefruit. Lighter dank, resin notes that linger into the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid West Coast IPA. A nice hop profile that while traditional, also flexes a bit into a fruitier realm. Balanced malt and bitterness that hide that alcohol well.
