24th September 2022 Borefts XII Day 2. Hazy deep amber, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and a little soft, decent fine carbonation. Malts are creamy and a little caramelly but not oversweet. Powerful boozy Calvados barrel brings warmth and tongue tingling spice. Touch of wood. A little vanilla oak and spicy raw Calvados. Touch of fresh apple. Semi dry spicy finish. A very good boozy barleywine.

Borefts XII. Day 1. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark chocolate malts, dark chocolate Malteasers. Barrel Aged goodness. Tastes like bourbon and cognac. Light semi dry spicy finish. Rather nice.

Borefts XII. Day 1. A light haze on this red amber beer, small pink head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, a little creamy sweetness. Nice cherry, some Morello cherry and a little cherry candy. Finishes semi dry with floral cherry. Nice beer. Gets the balance of various cherry aspects just about right.

Geprobeerd bij Grandcafe FF in Best met SandervdL en LiekevdV. Het is een troebel bleekgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige geur met tonen van banaan. De smaak is vol, grapefruit en hop met een hint van banaan in de afdronk.

Bottle from an online shop. Deep ruby red color, small pinkish head. Nose is sour and brett-funky with hints of cherries. Pretty big sour flavor, lots of funky shoe leather and old socks kind of notes, definitely a brett heavy flavor. The cherries give it more depth and a hint of sweetness at the end. Barrel tannins are in there and the red wine flavors must blend in well with the cherry, good complex mixture. Quite tasty!
