Brasserie Moulins d'Ascq
Microbrewery in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, Hauts-de-France, France 🇫🇷
Established in 1999
It takes an average of five weeks to make our beers. They are neither pasteurized nor filtered in order to best preserve their aromas. Their fine bubbles are natural thanks to a refermentation in the bottle. These are beers brewed with respect for tradition, high fermentation and Belgian inspiration.

Bottle. Color: Hazy pale golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Some malt and hop, citrus hints. Taste: Sweetish malt and bittery hop fighting for the win. I believe the malt is winning at first and the hop wins at the finish. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter, accompanied by subtle notes of citrus and citrus peel. Pretty dense mouthfeel (oat flakes). Medium body and just under average carbonation. Pretty long lasting finish. Drinkable, ok.

Bottle on Bretagne holiday, too dark to see how it looks. Light spicy yeast, sugary grains, kardamom, cloves, soft herbs, buckwheat. Solid medium sweet and just medium bitter. Solid medium bodied too. Quite decent for a standard blonde French beer, I’ve had a lot worse.
