Bottle, danke Günther! Dark chestnut, golden brown fluffy cream. Blackberry and roast aroma. Medium body, dry foamy, blackberry, rosehips and fruity coffee notes, earthy salts, pleasant roast leading into a broad aromatic hop backstop. On the edge of a black IPA of course, but with a more solid body and a perfect balance.

0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', best before March 2021. Slightly hazy, ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, raisins and strawberry jam. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, nuts, a touch of chocolate, some raisins and a touch of strawberry jam, followed by a short, slightly bitter, nutty finish. Medium to full body smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant, not too deep but well-balanced, quite quaffable Bock.

Bottle: Copper coloured, hazy, smaller loose off-white head, moderate sweet-bitter aroma of toasted malt and dried fruits, illusions of herbal hops underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit sticky; slightly lingering mainly sweet malty and fruity finish. Disappointing, not very well balanced and a bit too much on the sweet side...

Weicher, dunkel hopfiger Beginn. Super! 12/12/14/14/11/14

0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', batch #2 at 5.2% abv, best before March 2021. A bit hazy, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Quite fruity-floral, a little resiny and only minimally sweetish-malty aroma of pineapple, green peppers and a touch of caramel. Gently sweet, minimally bitter, malty, quite fruity-floral taste of caramel, nuts, pineapple and fresh green peppers, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Beautifully amber-coloured in the glass, smells nicely fresh and fruity from the Mosaic hops, one of the most refreshing beers of that kind ever. Well done, due to the dry-hopping miles above the regular Spezial. Didn't believe Mosaic would work so well in it!

Extremely tight off white head stayed on a reddish still body. Stewed fruit, malt & syrup aroma. Full bodied, sticky, heavy & cloying. Jam, syrup, stewed fruits & marmalade tastes with a lighter fruited finish. A big hitting sipper.

0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', best before February 2021. Almost clear, nearly black with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a little earthy-herbal aroma of caramel, blackberry, some chocolate and a touch of orange. Gently sweet, malty, slightly roasty, moderately fruity-herbal and a little earthy taste of caramel, chocolate, some ash, a touch of blackberry and hints of melon, followed by medium long, gently bitter, slightly roasty, earthy, a little herbal-spicy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty variant of the regular 'Adam', pleasantly hopped with the malts still being at the forefront. Good!
