0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', February 2023. Almost clear, amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, slightly grassy aroma of honey, fresh grass, lemon peel and orange blossom. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and slightly grassy taste of honey, orange blossom, candied apricot, lemon peel and some fresh grass, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Tasty hoppy Bock, still well-balanced, really well-brewed. Nice, as expected.

Bottle, danke Günther! Chill haze dark red amber, low golden head. Fairly berry sweet caramel aroma. Medium to full, light sparkly and sticky, very balanced on the palate, not much that gives the strength away. Fizzing caramel covered fruit, all the red berries, dry malt, a hint roast, citric, earthy and grassy backstop. Nice!

(25.12.2022.)

Buegelverschlußflasche (750ml): Hazy, deep golden, small but stable white creamy foamy layer, distinctive sweet honeyish and pale-malty nose, ripe fruits - not very exotic - included, pretty mild herbal to flowery bitter backbone; quite robust bitter-sweet flavour, almost full bodied; lingering and a bit drier herbal-hoppy and pale-malty finish. Yes, another goody from our great local Starkbier-workshop…

Bottle, that Jonas shared with me (thank you!) - originally courtesy of Pivnizub (so thx Günther as well). Hazy yellow-golden body, white head. Pleasant, pungent herbal-citric hoppy aroma. Minty, herbal, clean hoppy taste, light honeyish maltiness, almost no bitterness. Aged more than gracefully, this is extremely well made - just beautiful!
