Bottle picked up from Hopfen Sei Danke webshop and consumed at home Thursday 3rd November 2022 whilst listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music, it's Round Table tonight, we have Rhys with us and we're cooking Chicken with Chorizo and Potatoes traybake. Pours gold with a light haziness, light fruitiness, this is fine but seems like a less interesting version of the kellerpils that I have just had from the same brewery, it's fine but it's all a little muted.

0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', best before January 2023. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of molasses, raisins and plum. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity taste of molasses, raisins, caramel and plum, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Lovely Doppelbock, quite rich and moreish, with a pleasant fruity touch as well. Almost tastes like a bottom-fermented Quad, would love to see this on a whisky barrel.

Vom Faß: Ruby-amber coloured, almost clear, medium-sized and quite stable off-white head, moderate to solid sweet and milder bitter aroma of dried fruits, dark malt and caramel, supported by earthy hops; full bodied, solid sweet-bitter flavour; lingering hoppy and caramelly finish. A well balanced, very good Doppelbock from the only brewery in Westphalia, which specializes in Bockbier...

Bottle: Golden, hazy, slowly collapsing creamy white head, distinctive aroma of exotic fruits (pineapple among others) in the sweet-bitter honeyish- (pale-) malty nose; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, almost oily MF; lingering sweet pale-malty finish with a citrussy bitterness in the aftertaste. 0.3 l on tap at 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle'. Hazy, golden with a medium large, slightly creamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity-floral, slightly grassy aroma of lemon peel, fresh grass, pineapple and some honey. Quite sweet, malty, fairly fruity-floral, slightly grassy taste of honey, lemon peel, pineapple and some fresh grass, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really good for the style, probably benefits a lot from being draught.
