750ml bottle [7.1% abv]. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, frothy, very slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, slightly floral and grassy, minimally citrusy, hoppy aroma, slightly spicy, pale malty background, a touch of lemongrass, fresh hay, salty cracker. Taste is slightly spicy, minimally biscuity, pale malty with some residual sweetness, and moderately bitter, piney, grassy and slightly floral, minimally citrusy hoppy, hints of lemongrass, a touch of lemon biscuit, salty cracker; minimally waxy overtones. Oily texture, smooth, soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Rather savoury hop flavours, nice spicy aspects - though in no way common as miner's after-work drink in the Ruhr, this interpretation of the IPA style has exactly the gruffness probably appreciated amongst them; kannste trinken.

0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', best before February 2024. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, red fruits and light nuts. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of caramel, red fruits and some nuts, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Well-brewed lager, very easy to drink yet moreish, overall fairly enjoyable. Another solid brew by Bergmann, they have become a very reliable source for all kinds of beer, not only the strong ones anymore.
