Draught at the brewey tap Frothy, very lightly brown head which disappears fastly. Fair lace. Clear, black body. Aroma of mild cofee, roasted malts, spices, ... Not a very intense flavour, but it has a very subtle spiciness in it’s roasted malts, which gives this beer a very pleasant and complex flavour. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter in the beginning, lightly bitter in the end. Lightly bodied. Lively carbonation.

On tap at the brewery: Deep golden, visible carbonation, lacing, stable white head; sweet malt and honey in the nose combined with a herbal, almost wooden (!) hoppiness; sweetish bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; sweetish, but also distinctive bitter finish. A well balanced, well rounded Bock !

(swing top bottle) Clear hazelnut-brown colour with a foamy and lacey slightly off-white head. Moderately sweet malty nose, slightly toasted with caramel, also acidic with grassy hops in the background. Light bitter flavour, light to medium bodied and carbonated. Dry malty taste, quite empty mouthfeel, a bit caramel, but it has an almost aromatic bitter hoppy finish compared to the boring aroma and start. All in all not very convincing.

Bottle: Big rocky, very long lasting head, hazy, amber to orangey coloured, lively carbonation; sweetish, malty nose (honey, nuts), traces of alcohol; initially nutty and sweetish, later drier and more bitter; slightly dry, mild and bitter-aromatic finish; medium bodied; very smooth, goes down well; reminds me of a "tamed" or diluted Bock.........
