Tiefschwarze Farbe mit rötlichem Schimmer; mächtige gemischtporige und sehr stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase rauchig, Schinken, röstmalzig. Im Geschmack deutlich rauchig, malzig, deutliches Röstmalz, trocken, schlank, präsente Bittere. Das ist insgesamt für ein Alkoholfreies ziemlich aromatisch.

Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavir. Average moderate bitter fnish. Oily palate.

Bottle. Clear amber color, with medium size white head. Aroma is sweetish, nutty, honey. But taste is not so sweet, light bitterness, quite dry too, malty, some caramel note. Lght, but nice and easy to drink.

(Bottle, 't Kelkje, Amsterdam, 16 Aug 2025) Golden amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grain and apricots. Malty taste with bread, grain, apricots and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Soft, clean and harmonious. Nice one.

Hazy orange-golden color with creamy white head. Aroma is bready, nutty. Taste is bready, malt, light herbal notes. Silky mouthfeel, quite light bodied, low carbonation. Not between the greatest examples in the region, but still a nice beer.

On tap at Klosterbrau, pours a deep dark brown with a massive beige head. Aroma has moderate campfire smoke, leather, bready caramel, and some old furniture. Flavour is along the same lines, with quite a different smoke character to other local rauchbiers: lots of leather, old furniture, a touch of campfire. Unique and interesting, though maybe slightly less drinkable. Very good.

On tap at Klosterbrau, pours a deep dark brown with a massive beige head. Aroma has toasted malt, a touch of roast, and very gentle sugars. Flavour is dry and malty, with toasted malt, a touch of roast, and crusty bread. Dry, bready, toasty finish. Pleasant.
