Draught Black beer with some red highlights, dark coloured head, not very stable. Liquorice, jap nose, sweet, but not disturbingly so. Dry black grains taste, a bit of liquorice, but virtually no sweetness. A bit of carbonised flavour. A bit light and watery in MF, but no cloying or unrefined slickness. A real Bamberg speciality, well worh looking for.

Draught Fully hazy yellow beer , like pineapple juice; small, but tenacious head, leaving textbook lace. Sourish nose, bit pickles-like, nearly acetic. Quite some wheat. Drier, sweeter taste than nose would suggest. Clove, but no banana. Medium body, just some wheat slickness. Frankenland Weizen: not very sweet, no banana, and a bit plain, but never bad - as in imitation of the Vollbier.

Draught Light-amber beer, orange shine; slim, just off-white head. Slightly sweetish, nutty nose, honeyish aroma. Hoppier, drier taste than the nose suggests; hoppiness keeps going on, giving even some adstringency and metallic harshness. Dry, but rather light MF and body. Light, but quite agreable. Actually the first Bamberg brewery in this experience to serve its beer very cold.

A red-brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with some notes of licorice, but also some notes of caramel and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as slightly roasted notes and hints of licorice, but the body is thin.

Bottle: Almost black, big fluffy brownish head; different malts in the aroma. caramel, roasted, smoked, only very shy notes of floral hoppiness; "thick" taste: coffee, chocolate, malts, quite complex; bitter-sweet aftertaste; very smooth and mellow and not too sweet; a very good one !

Bottle. A light malt aroma - a bit skunky/barnyard. Lighter golden yellow color with a expanding white lacey head that quickly disappates. A bitter grassy hops flavor with a creamy malt finish. A good pils for those who like a higher bitterness rating.
