Description
Illinois' largest independent craft brewery. Brewed in the heart of Chicago.

The change in the U.S. beer scene has undoubtedly been revolutionary. We are proud of what we have accomplished in our short time to become a leader and innovator in the industry. The evolving tastes of beer drinkers has demanded bigger flavors, more variety, and better beer. That’s exactly what we give you at Revolution Brewing. Between our brewery and our brewpub, we produce dozens of different beer styles every year. IPAs, porters, pilsners, Belgian-style ales, pale ales, barrel-aged beers — the list goes on!

Our brewery has been a labor of love. You can see it in everything we do, from the beautiful details of our mahogany bar at the brewpub, to the massive beauty of our eight 800 barrel fermenters at the brewery, to the commitment to quality in each beer that we put in a can or a keg. Revolution believes in the value of hard work. We work hard to provide great, accessible brews for everyday people. We have fun doing what we do and hope you have fun drinking our beers!

Draft in a tulip at the Gage, Michigan Ave. Well, almost every beer they serve comes in a tap. But for this style it’s appropriate. Very slight haze of a light copper beer with a thin head. Smell of American IPA hops, citrus and pine from likely Cascade and Columbia, maybe some Amarillo. But I can also smell some warm malts at the same time. Tasting hands the baton back to the hops, which are more bitter than the bouquet. Strong backbone of malts slowly reasserts itself. Good for sipping with the gage’s signature fish & chips (French Fries more than the English style chips, I believe).

22oz bomber courtesy of Brian. Filtered orange-tan, thin steady white head. Mellow, light to medium bodied. Really sessionable, clean golden malt tones. Really well balanced, delicate hop balance. Simple, but quite nice.

Sampled from the tap at the Kedzie location. Pours a near clear deep brown with a slight amber hue and a small gray head that dissipates completely. Aroma is very bourbon forward with vanilla and backing dark grains and dark fruit. Flavor has strong bourbon and vanilla with an alcohol burn backed by sweet dark grains and dark fruit. Too boozy.
