@Kellarwald. Very cloudy, yellow brown color with a huge banana nose with a touch of caramel. Very carbonated, almost prickling. Very clovey mouth. Big estry banana finish. Superb.

Lowenbrau Buttenheim Dunkelweizen. Cloudy poo brown. The aroma is wheat and pedio; malty with a hint of chocolate. Wheaty, tart body with hints of chocolate but overall not much dark malt character.

Lowenbrau Buttenheim Weissebier. Cloudy yellow, with a thick head that falls quickly. The aroma is lemony with marshmallow malts. On the palate, this is wheaty and crisp with a malty-marshmallow underpinning. Somewhat fizzy, but otherwise a pretty well-balanced wheat with only a hint of banana.

Bottled@Kittys, Helsinki (as Löwenbräu Buttenheim Weissbier). Hazy yellowish orange colour, small white creamy head. Aroma is wheat, yeast, some earth and herbal notes. Flavour is slightly acidic fruits, some wheat, earth and herbs. Crisp carbonation. Refreshing.

Bottled (Kitty’s as "Löwenbräu Buttenheim Weissbier", BB 09/2009) My 600th German rating! Murky orange-yellow color, good creamy off-white head. Leather, bubblegum in the aroma. A bit sour, lemony and bubblegummy. Quite thin palate for 5% weisse. Low bitterness, quick finish.

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, hazy, small but quite stable white head; ripe bananas in the nose, accompanied by a faint wheaty-yeasty touch; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, quite soft MF; almost a tinge of peppermint in the sourish-wheaty finish.
