Getrunken als „Löwenbräu Buttenheim Weissbier“ mit 5,0 % Alk. und 12 % Stammwürze. Gute Menge Hefe am Flaschenboden, die sich aber leicht ausschütteln lässt. Sehr helle, trübe Farbe. Frucht (hauptsächlich Zitrone und auch etwas grüner Apfel) trifft auf Hefe, etwas Getreide und einen Hauch Essig. Recht säuerlich fruchtig - aber das schmeckt schon nicht schlecht. Der Körper ist leicht bis medium. Das macht in der Summe ein extrem erfrischendes Weißbier - in heißen Sommern, eiskalt genossen sicher eine absolute Waffe (für die es keinen Waffenschein gibt) gegen den Durst.

Thuis in de tuin uit een 0,5 fles. Is de uitvoering “St. GeorgenBrau butterheimer weissbier”. Goudgeel van kleur, wit schuim, heel licht troebel. Aroma, maar vooral de smaak licht zurig, eerder Citroën dan banaan, wat ik bij een weissbier zou verwachten. Voor mij wat dat betreft een tegenvallende weizen, maar als ik die verwachting niet had gehad een fijne dorstlesser.

At the Taphouse in town, Gasthaus Schwan, Riedenburg, Saturday 1st August 2020. We are on a lengthy cycle ride along the Danube Canal. Pours clear lemony colour with a white head. Sweet, fruity and, soft mouthfeel, this one reminds me more of a UK shandy.

Crisp, refreshing and really quaffable, a touch of caramel, good bitterness, light fruity, quite dry finish, this really hits the spot.

500ml bottle [as Löwenbräu Johann Modschiedler, Buttenheim - Dunkles Hefeweizen]. Dark, cloudy, chestnut colour with small, frothy, fading, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, yeasty, fruity aroma, notes of banana and dark berries, a touch of treacle and honey, malty undertones with a minimally bready touch. Taste is yeasty fruity, notes of dark berries, dried fruit, banana, a touch of treacle, overtones of blue grapes, minimally bready, malty basis. Interesting fruitiness.

Somewhat herbal honeyish aroma. Honey and banana in the flavor. Hints of glue, milk and mandarin. Chalk. Good thirst quencher Bottle, sold as Löwenbräu Buttenheim at the brewery in Buttenheim.

500ml bottle, thanks to Kolschtrinker. Pours clear gold, good frothy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, smooth light palate. Sweet light helles lager character, fruity with some straw, distant grain. Fine dortmunder.

“Riemhofer Schwanen-Weiße“, Flasche von REWE, Riedenburg. - Dunkelgoldgelb, trüb; üppiger Schaum. - In der Nase warmes Weizenmalz, Banane, Nelke, matte herbale Herbe. - Antrunk samtig brotig-weizenmalzig mit runder Süße, dezenter Säure und milder aber aromatischer zitrusfruchtig-herbaler Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, spritzig. Im Abgang feine Orangenschalenherbe. - Schönes Weizen mit sehr eleganter Hopfung. (26.7.2019.)
