16 oz can my daughter got me from Tavour. Nose is Smores by the campfire. Black with a medium, heavy lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is marshmallow, chocolate, biscuits, vanilla, and moderately sweet.

16oz can from Tavour. Black, flat pour, still. Chocolate, cacao, coconut, hint of vanilla. Lots of Mounds bars notes. Thick, slick, mildly sticky. Sweet, but not boozy.

Bottle. A- Funk, mild florals, subtle spice. A- Dark red color, clear liquid, light pink head. T- Funk, hibiscus, ginger, Brett. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish. O- With a year of age, the funk was really starting to shine. It claims to cellar well so I imagine this could be pretty filled with that barnyard trait if I let it sit longer. The hibiscus does add a bit of flavor but mostly a dryness. The ginger is also there but not overpowering as it can often be. Good stuff.

16 oz. can. Spilt two ways. Aroma shows soft vanilla, subtle rye whiskey, and light chocolate. Body is full with a velvet like texture. Vanilla, mild rye bourbon, and chocolate is all here. Alcohol is totally hidden. In a blind test test I never would have guessed it was 13%! Awesome.

Can pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black, light sparkle at the edges of the glass, nice viscosity, no head, no lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla and complementary mild rye. Taste follows aroma but stronger, and rye is higher in the mix. Mild alcohol present initial sip but vanishes as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, slick (in a good way) texture, soft carbonation, and finish as taste. Overall, strong aroma and flavor (both improve as it sits in the glass) and everything is well balanced and fantastic mouthfeel. Pedestrian appearance but who cares?

16 oz. can. Aroma shows bold coffee, maple candy, burnt sugar. Flavor is like a cold brewed coffee with maple and sugar on the bottom of the cup. The body is a tad thin. Not cloying.

Can pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black with light sparkle, no head and no laicng. Aroma is roasted malt, mellow coffee, lactose and maple syrup as described. Taste is nice roasted malt and coffee mix, lactose, milder maple syrup. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture (thin initially but better after it sat for a bit), soft carbonation and sweet finish as taste. Overall, well balanced but on the milder side. Not blowing me away and a bit thin.

Can. A- Chocolate sauce, coconut, vanilla, mild bourbon. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Toasted coconut, vanilla, chocolate, bitter, mild oak, spiced rum. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Jesus, this is a beer! Reminds me of the first beer I had from them the month they opened, a double barrel coconut stout. This felt a lot like that! How they achieve this quality I don't know. The bourbon and rum barrels both impart their own unique flavors. I would say the bourbon is stronger on the nose and the rum more on the palate. Pours thicker than some motor oil I've seen. You can feel the heat a bit here, but it's not bad. Rich, complex, not too cloying but a sipper no doubt. I would honestly recommend drinking this on a more slightly chilled side. The booze becomes much more apparent as it gets warm. Really, this is outstanding. I finally beat you to a first review, Chris!
