Aroma is bolder cinnamon and slight chocolate. The rum is a mild nuance that lasts throughout the sip. The mild spice from the rum plus the cinnamon go great together. Very light pepper heat in the back end. Alcohol is mostly hidden with a slight warming after the swallow. My dear lord this is good!

Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall just off-white head that fades relatively quickly and leaves just about nothing left on top. Aroma of grass, hay, light herbs and not much else (no real alcohol, hop or alcohol notes, which is surprising given the contents) with a very mild bite throughout. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavour at first with a perfumey character and a touch of lemons and citrus notes, but no real malt support or alcohol astringency, which makes this show almost more of a lighter saison than any IPA or especially any Imperial IPA. Aftertaste shows some herbal and lightly citrus elements with some light alcohol noticeable, but nowhere close to 8,0% and a perfumey kick and some light grapefruit bitterness on the tail end that shows more funk than all the hops in this one! Overall, a pretty mild Imperial IPA that shows way more of a saison than an IPA or Imperial IPA and this definitely doesn't show close to 8,0% abv either - perhaps more around 6,0 per cent total. Even sampling this fresh, the beer was still lacking big time in Hops (which is understandable, given its from the middle of the country). I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha (Papillion), Nebraska on 07-October-2019 for US$3,49 sampled at home in Washington on 18-November-2019, a month and a half later.

Draft. A- Whisky, cocoa, mild rye. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Whisky, cocoa, mild vanilla. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, boozy finish. O- So happy to see White Elm celebrating year three. They've come a long way since Day 1 and have killed it from the start. That said, their anniversary beers seemed to have gone down slightly. Year one was phenomenal. Year two was very good but a bit boozy and cloying and I think would've simply been better with a couple years to mellow it out. For year three, this is the first anniversary brew I've had on tap rather than out of a can. It was a very solid beer, however, it almost seems like it was played safe. The barrel is there but I still want more, the vanilla is very mild. Like I said, this was tasty but it just needed more complexity. Wish I could've gotten a can to try it again in a year or so.

Draft. A- Straw, grains, mild spice. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grains, mild spice, straw. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- Wanted to try the Grisette Rose but someone during the Year 3 anniversary party it managed to tap before all other beers. So I was stuck with this in it's place. Decent but not as complex as I'd like.

Draft. A- Chocolate, vanilla, cookie. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Vanilla, chocolate, slightly earthy, coffee. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- The nose really did pull of the Oreo aroma. The flavor was solid too but not quite as cookie like. Knowing White Elm, I really think this would be great in a barrel. Good beer, overall.

Draft. A- Straw. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grains, straw. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Pretty basic and doesn't seem like something White Elm would spend a lot of time on but drinkable. No idea what New Hem Farm is supposed to mean but probably an inside joke knowing these guys. Not bad.

Draft. A- Citrus. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Milky, watery, citrus. P- Light body, creamy texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- No idea what the point of this beer was. Seems like a beer that would be brewed out of boredom one afternoon but it turned out pretty good so they put it on tap. Not a ton happening but it's drinkable and smooth and had a tinge of citrus. Fair enough.

Draft. A- Lemon meringue pie. A- Gold color, clear liquid white head. T- Lemon, custard, egg whites, vanilla. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- This really does taste like straight up lemon meringue pie. You get a soft lemon pudding flavor balanced out with a nice frothy egg whites or meringue taste. Maybe it's just me but I might even detect a hint of graham cracker. Outstanding example of a style. Well done in all aspects.

Draft. A- Boozy, caramel. A- Copper color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Dark fruit, boozy, malty, molasses, caramel. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, boozy finish. O- A booze bomb for sure. White Elm kills it with stouts. Barelywines seem to be a style they are still perfect, but certainly haven't struggled with by any means. A bit one dimensional and hot. I think time would help .
