Can. A- Cinnamon, mild spice, chocolate sauce. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate fudge, mild coffee, subtle dark rum. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- This is absolutely great. The reg is great, the apple brandy is great, the bourbon is great, anything that uses this base beer is great. I have no idea how a 14% beer can drink like it's 5% but this does. It's almost like a Latin inspired tiramisu. Really good stuff even fresh. Does not need to age.

12 oz can from Tavour, 3/28/20. Dark brown, minimal head. Rich chocolate, chili, cinnamon, and vanilla. Bourbon and wood as well. Strong booze presence, but not overwhelming. This is how you do a Bourbon Barrell-aged Mexican Chocolate Stout. Damn good. 9/4/9/4/18

Can. Pours black with a tan head. Chocolate, vanilla, chocolate milk, chocolate syrup, chocolate biscuits, very... chocolatey. Thin for the style. This is a thick fudgy body away from the top bracket.

16 oz can from Tavour. Pours out black with a thin creamy beige head which disappears to nothing, still and slick.Aroma is a melange of scents, roast, chocolate, light vanilla. Tastetaste follows, sweet, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, a touch of bitterness and a bit of alcohol warmth. Pretty solid throughout.

Bottle. A- Apricot, very mild funk, yeasty. A- Copper orange color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Apricot, slightly sweet, candi sugar, danish pastry. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Not a fan of the super waxed cap, but I'll forgive you White Elm. Big natural apricot impact on the nose and palate. Both reviews below me hit it on the dot. I definitely get a Trolli candy like smell and taste but it's not artificial. Think artisan candy if you will. There is also a flavor and aroma with the apricot I can't quite figure out. I want to say it's a sort of funk mixed with candi sugar from the yeast but I'm not too sure. Tasty beer no doubt.

Can pour (2019 vintage) courtesy of AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, thin cap of light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is apple brandy, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa. Taste is apple brandy, cinnamon, milder vanilla, mildest cocoa and hint of chili flavor. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, nice balance of flavors and decent complexity. Heat absent from this stout vs. fresher ones I tried previously so would recommend experiencing fresh for the full chili experience.

Can pour courtesy of AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, no head and no lacing. Aroma is strong marshmallow followed by cinnamon, chocolate. Taste is strong marshmallow (less than the aroma) and chili spice. After that hit, back half has vanilla, malt, chocolate, cinnamon. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, significant chili spice/heat (borderline too much but I like it), average carbonation and finish with the full complexity of flavors. Overall, marshmallow is awesome in the aroma but overpowers other aspects, a bit more balance in the taste. Good chili spice/heat in the mouthfeel with perhaps a little bit of alcohol but not obnoxious and appropriate carbonation and body for the style.

16 oz. can. The aroma has big toasted marshmallow over chocolate. Mellows as it airs. The flavor is a mixture of chocolate, roast and soft marshmallows. The cinnamon and Guaijillo are here in the finish and linger. How does this man hide the ABV so well in his stouts??! Body is full with a oily viscosity. Quite lovely.

Can pour courtesy of AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, thin ring of beige head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is perfect mix of bourbon, vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon and roasted malt. Taste has a nice hit of chili spice right off the bat, followed by cinnamon and second half vanilla, chocolate and milder bourbon and malt. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with smooth, thin texture, chili spice and strong, pleasant alcohol warmth and finish as taste. Overall, excellent strength of aroma and taste, excellent complexity and balance. Good amount of heat/spice. Alcohol hidden well.

12 oz. can. Aroma is cinnamon, roasted malt, soft chilies. The flavor is exactly what you would expect; vanilla, light cinnamon with a roasted malt backbone. The cinnamon in chilies are in the finish but not over done. All the flavors are well integrated. Real nice. Perfect vessel for all the variations.
