Draft at BXL. Hazy bright red. A lot of sour cherries, wheat, light funk, a bit lemon sharpness. Not much almond, but a soft herbal touch. Soft carbonation.

22nd August 2022; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange gathering in Chez Sophie. Usual 5 in attendance, cheers Simon for the 750ml cork and capped bottle of this sour-puss. White topping on a hazy golden/yellow body. Lemon juice nose and taste, it went down well with the other four guys but I struggle with this sort of beer, just too sour for me.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 22. Thanks Simon for this. Hazed yellow appearance, pure white head. Lovely lemony citrus and wild gueuze funk aroma. Continues to taste, excellent vibrancy of flavours, good lemony citrus, perhaps a hint of Belgian blonde yeast, lovely bristling sourness with a mild oaky influence. Really well presented.

0.375 l bottle from 'Bierloods22', bottled in December 2022. Hazy, golden amber with a large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, rather fruity and quite funky aroma of overripe lemon, barnyard, gooseberry, white pepper, some horse blanket and a touch of oak. Slightly sweet, quite sour, rather fruity and gently funky taste of overripe lemon, gooseberry, quite some vinegar, oak, some horse blanket and a touch of barnyard, followed by a short, quite tart, moderately woody, vinegary finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Nice Geuze, quite fruity and fresh, unfortunately too vinegary as well.

Bottle: Poured a hazy reddish color lambic with a nice large pink foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh strawberry/raspberry and blackberry notes with some nice jammy notes with some tart and light funk ester notes. Taste is also a great mix of fresh tart raspberry/strawberry and blackberry notes reminiscent of jam. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Solid fruited lambic with strong jammy notes, which I Ioved.
