Description
Welcome to the Hackney Church Brew Co. We are a new brewpub based in the heart of Hackney, named after the parish church over the road. Like the church, we want to create a welcoming space that everyone can enjoy that gives back to the local community.
We serve our own tasty beers alongside delicious food in our taproom and sunny garden. In our book, that’s beer for all sorts.

Tap. Murky apple juice. Nose is tropical juice, onion earth. Fluffy soft, but front heavy icky hops, the same goes for the aftertaste.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours slightly hazed gold with a fluffy, creamy white head. Medium sweet flavour with ample white pepper, dry yeast expression, lemon peel, pithy grapefruit, light grass. Light to medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Fairly clean to finish, a bit of bubblegum, more lemon peel, grapefruit accents, subtle funk. Reminds me of a lot of saisons from 10 to 15 years ago. Not bad.

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours clear gold with a small, creamy white topping. Light sweet flavour with simple doughy biscuits, cereal, a little butter, hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with further doughy haircuts, a hint of citrus, low bitterness. So so but drinkable.
