Keg @ Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, Helsinki. Poured clear golden in color, dense head. Grassy hops, grains, clean and balanced. Nice dry, bitter finish. Solid.

50cl Fles van De Bierkoning. Mistig diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Vol rokerig, moutzoet, witbrood, peer, grassig, flink bitter. Medium body. Voelde aan als een Rauch Maibock. Lekker.

(Keg at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20231227) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, grain and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, honey, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy and bitter. A tasty and balanced grassy brew with good mouth-cleansing bitterness.

Bottle at home by the fire, after early Christmas dinner with Christy and the family, 10th December 23. Pours clear golden, with a firm, white, frothy head. Aroma is fresh grass, aromatic, mellow. Taste is bitter, straw, mellow, fresh grass, hay, aromatic, nicely hopped, refreshing Pilsner, great to drink.

Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, grass, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was toasty and bitter. A tasty malty brew.
