Purchased from Orterer Getränkemarkt in Garmisch-Partenkirchen 30.05.12 consumed at Hailes Abbey, Gloucestershire 16.06.12 Really nice beer. Some fruitiness snd toffee combining well, warming, malty and quite chewy. Not sure of colour as I am drinking this sat around a campfire with the rest of KBO morris, it is quite dark this evening now but in my glass it looks good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Hefiger, dunkel fruchtiger Beginn. Bereits hier macht sich eine eindimensionale Bitterkeit im Hintergrund bemerkbar, die mit der Zeit noch zunimmt. Schwer, hefig, wenig alkoholisch. Die Bitterkeit stört weiterhin. Süß-hefig, nicht ganz rund. 11/9/7/8/9/7

Bottle (many thanx to Jonas for this missing piece!): Deep golden to light amber coloured, stable mid-sized white lacy head, moderate fruity-grainy nose, shy hops and some yeast underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft and medium bodied; caramelly and malty flavour in the sweet-yeasty finish. O.K., but should be sampled fresher.....

Rerate from tap at the brewery. Cloudy Orange, off-white cream. Fruity, juicy, light mineral, foamy turbulent dry on the palate. Apples and orangepeel. Nice, glad I had this again. Old rating:6 3 6 3 12 Bottle. Amber, lowish off-white head. Caramel and beey aroma. Solid mouthfeel, caramel malt, Light citric and berry notes, earthy hops, light green apple retronsasal. Teetering towards a Bock, but retains a fresh character. I would like to try it fresh from tap, the flavors from the bottle are a bit muddled.

(bottle) Cloudy, orange-amber colour with a persistent and slightly tanned foamy head. Yeasty caramel-malty aroma with subtle fruity notes and herbal hops. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Cara-malty base with yeasty and subtle fruity notes, accompanied by a tinge of butterscotch; sweet and mildly bitter hoppy finish with delicately herbal spice. Solid quality. 26.X.11

Thanks to my German friend Karl-Heinz for a 500ml bottle of this one. Clear yellow-gold body. Stable, low and bubbly helles head. Light, but fresh aroma of noble hops and pale malts. Pale malts and honey-lemon to the taste buds. Mid dry ending. Soft carbonation that promotes fine drinkability. Clean in the mouth. Passable and food friendly (Tromsø, 16.10.2011).

Bottle (many thanks to Quack-Duck!): Cloudy, reddish-amber coloured, huge and stable off-white head; nuts, fresh brown bread, caramel and some fruits (figues?) in the unusual, but superb nose; moderate to solid sweet-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; caramel, walnuts and bread in the finish. Great, outstanding Dunkelweizen......
