Description
The Schlossbrauerei Ellingen with its fine beer specialties has been around since 1690. Experience a piece of our long-standing brewing history with every sip. What makes our beers so unique? FÜRST CARL beers are still brewed by hand in the traditional way in the copper brewhouse of the historic brewery. Our raw materials are natural and come from Ellingen and the region: water from our own well, hops and malt from Ellingen and Franconia. We only brew what we are good at: Franconian beer specialties!
Our family, the princes of Wrede and the team of FÜRST CARL stand behind what we do: first-class beers.

Süffiger, wenn auch wässriger Beginn. Moderat getreidig, ansteigende Bitterkeit aus dem Nichts, langweilig. Trinkbar. 8/5/7/5/9/5

Bottle, 0.33l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Aroma is grainy, floral and herbal. Pours clear amber brown color with thin creamy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet dried fruity with caramel note, following is herbal, bready and honeyish, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Seems like a hoppy bock to me…

16oz can. Looks filtered, but guess it isn't. Sweet, malt centered. Minimal hop balance. Some pleasant creamy yeast and lager notes. Pretty straightforward, easy drinking. Good.

Pours gold and somewhat hazy with a white head. Aroma is grainy, bready malt. The flavor is sweet and bready and much like the numerous helles brews in this advent calendar. Grainy and bready with minimal hops.
