Cask conditioned this is just an excellent ale. Enough said. Rerate May 14 2002: Had this one again today from can + bottle (bottle slightly better) in Norway, not nearly as good as cask conditioned, but still a very drinkable ale. Could use a little more aromatic hops. Rerate 2: I take back what I said about can vs. bottle. I found a retailer who stores the cans cold, and they’re a helluva lot better than the frequently skunky (clear!) bottles, which are stored warm at my other retailer’s. Well kept, I just love the nutty freshness of this ale.

Bottiglia. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e la continuità olfattiva è corta. Il cappello di schiuma ha una discreta resistenza. Il liquido è di aspetto cristallino. La frizzantezza si manifesta sotto forma di poche bollicine medio-fini. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è deciso. L'intensità gustativa è normale. La costanza gustativa è sufficiente. Al palato arrivano sensazioni di miele e cereali.

Delt med Rune. Mørk stråfarget. Lavt tett skum som daler sakte. Lett plommearoma. Smaken søte plommer. Hint av karamell. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning.

Shared with Finn, half-pint. Clear amber coloured body, filmy layer, upper part lacing on the glass. Moderate smell of mid-sweet malts and ripe fruits. Decent malt-fruity flavours, hints of caramel and ripe fruits with a bite of leafy bitterness to the ending. Quite alright. (London, 11.02.2025).

Clear light blond beer, small yellowish head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty start, grains, hay, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, watery, a little bitter. Aftertaste: hoppy, dry, very watery, a bit malty in the finish. Meh. Very unimpressive.

Аромат хороший, приятный, солодовый, есть намеки на сладость. Цвет карамельный, более янтарный, пенка небольшая. Вкус питкий как и должен быть. Снова преобладает солод. Легкая карамельная среда с намеком на леденец. При глотке есть хорошая сначала сухость а затем хмелевая горечь, но очень лайтовая. Очень хороший питкий вариант кому заходит Англия.

Аромат классического битера. Немного карамельки на оттенке, много травянистости от континентального хмеля. Цвет красно-коричневый, пенка очень мыльная и крупнопузырчатая. Вкус хоть и питкий но плотненький. Снова травянистость которая уже в горчинку длительную переходит. Оттенки карамельки легкой, в целом не плохо для стиля который я не люблю.
