Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Pint can pours with a crystal clear dee gold body that supports a nice white head of foam. The aroma offers up peach, pineapple and berry notes flowing into a pine sap like hoppiness. The taste delivers a blend of peach and vague berry fruitiness blending with bitter pine hops and a thin wedge of base malt sweetness. Around the periphery of the experience are thin sweet soft notes of pineapple and maybe mango. This ends with too little hop bitterness providing a firm footing for a modestly oversweet finish. Pretty solid had it ended a bit dryer.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated June 09, 2025.
Aroma is hop forward and dank with a ton of that classic Simcoe wet, oily pine resin. Lighter grapefruit with some tangerine as well. Hints of tropical fruit. Medium light cracker malt and light alcohol notes.
Pours a rather clear golden color with a moderately sized, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges.
Flavor is somewhat sweet with moderate cracker malt notes. Fairly high, somewhat assertive bitterness with light alcohol notes. Lots of grapefruit, tangerine and tropical citrus. Lighter notes of tropical fruit and dank, oily pine resin.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid West Coast IPA. So much classic citrus and piney hop.aroma and flavor. The style has moved on from this hop profile, but it's fun to revisit and reminisce about how it used to be.

Beautiful nose with mangoes, onions, OJ. Fairly bitter for the style. I love The nose but don’t like the hybrid beers so much. Still good for what it is.

Nice malty crispness. Def crushable. Got hints of banana too?

Deep golden color. White head. Big nectarine and mandarin notes. Clean butter palate solid backbone quick dry finish. The nectarine character lingers. Well made, as it warms it shows stone fruit and more depth. Great

Can from Tavour. Pours grapefruit hazy gold with a large white head. Aroma of grapefruit pith. Med plus body. It's juicy, but not very sweet. Dry enough. Bitter enough as well. Flavor is grapefruit pith/zest, melon, and a lot more. Excellent flavor.

Aroma is a bit muted with medium light hop notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, stone fruit and oily resin. Light cracker malt and alcohol notes.
Pours a clear, brilliant, gold color with a medium large, fairly thick, pillowy white head that recedes slowly but steadily to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and small legs.
Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderate notes of grapefruit and tropical citrus. Much lighter notes of passion fruit, stone fruit and some lingering oily resin.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, it's a clean IPA with balanced bitterness, malt sweetness and alcohol. The hop notes in both the aroma and flavor are lacking though. Not sure if it's just me, but the krush and cryo products just don't do it for me.
