Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a clear gold colored body that supports a nice white head of foam that leaves behind spotty lacing. The aroma modest offers up orange marmalade, grapefruit, tangerine and then some spicy to woody hoppiness. The taste delivers pleasing citrus hop bitterness in the form of grapefruit, tangerine, a touch of lime and then a thin layer of orange marmalade. It picks up spicy to woody hoppiness to midway as the lime seems to gain in strength. Fun brew that creates loads of body and remains very low in sweetness. Good stuff.

Can, thanks Fin! Enjoyed alongside the first attempt at homemade æbleskiver. Black, thick dark brown cream. Wood smoke, some pipe tobacco as well - but maybe just because I am expecting it. dark chocolate and ganache notes, creamy cocoa on the palate. Vanilla, nice roast, coffee dry and broad cocoa. Very nice.

Can. Seems to have just arrived in Melbourne shops but there's no visible date. Misted yellowish gold with a cm of white head. Aroma of citrus peel - some candied - tropical lollies, pine needles. Clean with very light crackery malt that's just about enough to support the mainly citrusy fruit. Dryish and firmly bitter finish. Nice, if a little austere.

0.473l can. Aroma of pineapple, passion fruit, pine and biscuit. Pours hazy dark straw color with medium sized frothy off-white head and sparkling appearance. No complaints needed…

Poured from a 16 oz can dated June 23, 2025.
Aroma is super hop forward and fruity and dank. Lots of guava, gooseberry, passion fruit, tropical citrus, and pineapple. Lighter oily, diesel notes and some pine resin as well. Light cracker malt and alcohol notes.
Pours a hazy dull, golden straw color with a large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges.
Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Medium high to high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Lots of passion fruit, gooseberry, guava and tropical citrus. Lighter pineapple and mango notes. Medium light oily, diesel resin notes with some hints of pine.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, this is a really tasty beer. Great hop notes in the aroma and flavor. The Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka hops really shine in this one. Decent bitterness with a balanced sweetness and alcohol note.
