Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Out of the Barrel. Was very excited to try this as Simcoe is one of my favorites to drink and brew with.

Poured from a 16 oz can with an illegible date code.
Aroma is hop forward with lots of grapefruit pith, tropical citrus, and passion fruit. Light notes of stone fruit and dank, oily resin. Medium light cracker malt notes and light alcohol.
Pours a clear, golden color with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes steadily to the edges where a small film lingers.
Flavor has a medium sweetness with medium light cracker malt notes. Fairly high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Fairly strong hop notes of grapefruit pith. Lighter notes of oily, pine resin, tropical citrus, stone fruit and passion fruit.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid West Coast IPA. Lots of classic hop character with grapefruit pith and oily pine resin. Lighter passion fruit and stone fruit notes. Balanced malt notes and sweetness. Fairly bitter.

Das a lot of vanilla, but damn the BiL base is smoooooth and delish! Going to let it warm up, reluctantly. Warm it's still very sweet vanilla but also sweet figs and sweet candied raisins. It works even though it's definitely sweet.

Can from Tavour. Pours slightly translucent gold with a huge foamy white head that laced down. Aroma leads with weed and then lots of tropicality. Med body. Bone dry, spicy, bitter, weedy and earth and a bunch of tropicals I can't parse. Dopeness it is. Great flavor.
