Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.
We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!
Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!
Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Poured from a 16 oz can dated September 02, 2025.
Aroma is hop forward with passion fruit, tropical citrus, guava, grapefruit pith and a large, dank, oily, fusel note. Light cracker malt and alcohol notes.
Pours a rather clear, golden yellow color with a large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to the edges where it lingers in clumps.
Flavor is slightly sweet with light cracker malt notes. Medium high bitterness with light alcohol notes. Fairly hoppy with notes of grapefruit pith and tropical citrus. Lighter notes of passion fruit, guava and dank, oily diesel.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation and a fairly crisp, dry finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid West Coast IPA. Lots of dank, weedy hop notes in the aroma. Flavor is a bit more muted in the hop department, but it makes for a crisp, easy drinking IPA. Balanced bitterness and alcohol notes. Not too sweet.

Dark brown, sticky figs, rich toffee. Some tannins, alcohol splash, damn, there’s something in that depth of sugar that fucking rocks.

Dark brown, med head, this one’s a bit boozy, harsh that tries to cut through the rich sugars. There’s vanilla almost to marshmallow level, but it does feel rough.

Dark brown, no head. Dark chocolate and toffee, dates, raisins, sweet dark toffee, lots of coconut, mellow vanilla, very dessert. And big. The 5oz pour does feel like a lot. It also feels like not enough.

Dark brown, no head. Really nice aroma, vanillins, soft dark sugars and light fruitiness. Deep fruits on this, touch of vanilla, some barrel heat, good complexity.

Can from Gourmet Haus. Great beer on both massive fruity aroma and flavor. Does not taste like at 10.5%er.
Re-rated after having a draft at Giurmet Haus and have brought it down to the middle of the two. A thick, heavy beer on second pour that is a bit cloying, and I noticed the alcohol heat more on draught than from the can.
