Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

On tap at Oakland CHoP. Aroma is moderately malt forward with notes of toasted rye bread, caramel and raisins. Hints of herbal, grassy hop notes and faint alcohol notes. Pours a fairly clear amber color with a small, thick, white head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with moderately strong notes of toasted rye bread and caramel with hints of raisin. Medium low bitterness and light alcohol notes. Faint herbal, woody hop notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent amber lager but I think I like the Shadows in Bloom more; it's just crisper and cleaner. This beer has a nice malt profile, but the body is a bit flabby and not crisp enough for my preferences.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Special Brews. Still stoked to have these guys show up in my local. Bright and shiny, clean golden appearance with two fingers of loose foam. A west coast double with all headliner hops. There's just no way this wasn't going to be incredible. Packs a stone fruit punch ip front. Has a nice biscuit malt background that remains throughout. Slick front but ultimately ends on a crisp and more bitter note. Hope are impressionable, but less than aggressive. Absolutely delicious double IPA here. Total standout for my recent memory.

16 oz can poured picked up at Special Brews. Awesome collab, and really looking forward to diving I to this one. Mostly clean golden pour, very thin head. Crisp front, bitterness is on the heavy side with some tropical hop tones. Medium body west coast IPA, with a hop oil finish. Holds on to a crisp feel, with a forever lingering resinous hop. Bold and flavorful. Very nice.
