Description
Fonta Flora Brewery integrates the soul of agriculture with the artisanship of zymurgy to create a menagerie of rustic and savory libations. With an emphasis on seasonal flora, Fonta Flora brings English tradition and Belgian inspiration to the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina.
Fonta Flora utilizes local artists to help conceptualize the notion that fermentation is yet another medium for creating art. This uniquely artisan approach to beer yields a sustainable product filled with culture from our very own community.

750mL bottled 2019, drunk 9/24/22. Lightly hazy, brass-bronze. Small, white head. Not too much Brett, no gushing. Lemon, white bread, fresh pretzel. Soft and mild. Some sweaty, smokiness on the finish emerging with warming. Soft and juicy, lemon, vanilla, celery, salinity, bread and lingering acidity. Light sweetness, pepper. It's super mild but somehow no oxidation or thinning.

Oyster and roast. A little mocha. Good balance, great beer. Litter sweet finish with caramel on the finish. Plenty of oyster saltiness. Black pour with mocha head. Tap at Rustico.

2 week old pint can A: Looks like a slurry of vomit and shit. Hideous to look at. S: Astringent peach or pineapple, floral notes and wet cardboard. T: Lightly bitter astringent peach and/or pineapple, floral notes and wet cardboard. A bit piney at the end. M: Mildly astringent and medium full bodied with low carbonation. Mild hop burn. O: Nothing about this is remotely good let alone exceptional.

Single from Appalachian. Low boost goblet @home in between some meads. Dark, brown sugar, voluminous head. Watery, charry coffee & burnt toast. Charred, low bitter, slightly sharp, intense cold brew. Sooty finish. Very old school coffee, but with mellow intentions. Soft but ample carbonation, a bit dusty. Good.
