Draught at Hops ’n Headz, Bellingham, WA
Pale yellow color. Smells like cooked pear. Medium-dry, with some pear juice, moderate acidity, not exactly rhubarb. It’s like a fruit alcopop.
What’s the point?
Another semi lame cider by Schilling.

Draught at Schilling Cider House, Seattle, as Schilling Chai-der
Hazy light blond color. Smells like mulled cider, the body is thin, lightly sweet, a bit bready, lightly spicy.
This is not even a cider, you can just sweeten and teabag your cheap cider at home if you want the same result.

Can from a local Raley’s Market. Pours perry color. Light, maybe crisp/astringent aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is tart, dry, astringent. And arguably apple. Very, very dry.

12oz can at Cock & Bowl. Poured a very clear golden yellow color with a fizzy, disappearing head. Aroma was immediate fresh shaved ginger. Semi-sweet notes, not as dry as I normally like, but a decent balance between sweet and tart. Ginger soda character.

From a can. Hazy yellow color, almost like a wit beer. Light apple flavor, mildly sour grapefruit and citrus flavor. A lottle sweet. Light and refreshing palate. This is enjoyable. A refreshing beverage.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours perry color. Light mixed apple skin aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is slightly sweet; no skin astringency. Must be intended for those who dislike strong flavors. Maybe a bit of dry astringency finally in the finish. Maybe.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours light golden/perry with a transient white head. Aroma is a bit earth, made me think funk, but it’s really not that at all. Flavor is slightly tart, there’s some cider to it, but there’s some citrus/earthy hop as well, I think. It’s not exactly bitter; it is towards dry, and astringency makes it seem rather dry.

On tap at Schilling, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out strong chai spice - that's all there is to say about the nose. Flavour is heavy sweet, with lots of chai spice and residual sugars present. Works pretty well together. Though the sweetness is high, it's quite complementary with the spices. Enjoyable gimmick cider.

12oz can pours a clear gold with some fizzy head that faded fast. Nose has ginger, cardamom, and of course green apples. Flavor has a lick of green vanilla bean, ginger, cardamom, apple skins, apple juice, a touch cakey. Finishes mostly dry.
