(bottle) Slightly hazy golden colour with a big foamy white head. Sweet malty aroma with oranges and spice. Initially sweetbitter malty taste with a distinctive orange peel fruitiness and a smooth bitter and spicy finish. The alcohol is extremely well hidden.

(Bottle 25 cl) According to the back label this was made by "Brouwerij Weldebroec" in Willebroek (closed in 1999). Golden beer with a nice, tall head. But the appearance promises way too much: no bitterness, no sweetness, no malt - nothing whatsoever. A strangely bland brew. Disappointing beer from Weldebroec which I remember best from their excellent "Vaartlander" beers. 190999

Bottle Lightly hazy, yellow body. Fizzy, white head. Spare lace. Nose of hops (orange peels, grain). Lightly bitter flavour. Very weak.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale, hazy, golden beer with a decently sized, creamy head. Sweetish malt in the beginning but then you get to feel the hops - and this is one hoppy beer. Some yeasty, earthy notes. Decent ale if not exactly spectacular. 040399

(Bottle 25 cl) Dark amber coloured with a red glow and a small off-white head. Slight acidic nose but overall very malt accentuated - some roasted malt - with a small lingering tartness. This is much softer and sweeter than what I usually associate witrh a Flemish sour. Closer to an Abbey Dubbel actually, although without the body, without the power. But a very nice beer indeed. 200299

(Bottle 25 cl) At first this appears to be a light ale of the "Speciale" type, same clear, dark reddish brown appearance, same alcohol level. But this has much more aroma, more flavour - almost perfumy. Wonder if this has some spices added. Never cloying though - just a cute little ale. 100299

(Bottle 25 cl) Brown with a shade of grey, nice, off-white head. Yummy roasted malt in both aroma and flavour, some spicy sweetness - almost trappist-like - with a good bite of hops to add balance. A nice full-bodied beer in spite of the low alcohol - for a Belgian ale that is. 131098
