We are a brewery and taproom located in downtown Cambridge. Our focus is on aroma-packed and flavor-driven beers, with an emphasis on New England IPAs, barrel-aged sours, and special seasonals. Draught at Mead Hall, 1/19/18.
Heavily hazy-to-soupy, bronze-maize with a small, white head showing moderately-low retention.
My impressions of this beer, using a very similar English-derived, NE-developed, "Tree House-like" yeast is that it is a very close proximation to Julius. That said, the nose doesn't have the ultra-fresh, almost floral and dainty fruit character with lush watermelon of Julius. Aroma strength is lower, too. However, this is on draught at a bar, and most of my Tree House experiences have been freshly poured from a can at cellar temp instead of cold draught temps. So take that with a grain of salt. Anyhow, it's full of melon, tangerine, lime, mango and star fruit, bright and juicy with bits of honey and cereal-like malt behind it.
The flavor is where it really shines with a near perfect Tree House-like juiciness and tons of light bubble gum and cantaloupe (not the lush, more floral, sweet, fruity watermelon of Tree House). Juicy orange, tangerine, lemon and light biscuit and cracker from the malt. Soft and supple, with good attenuation and tight carbonation. They really fucking nailed this one (though many of the cans I tried subsequently were very off). If lamplighter ever gets a really strong consistency (which I'm sure they will; it's constantly improving), they will be one of the best around.

On tap at the brewery Cambridge Boston. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. It's a solid dipa. Quite light in the fruits and malts but a little heat on the finish. It's got decent orange and mango fruit juice. Some bitterness. Pretty good hop fruit juice.

On tap at the brewery Cambridge Boston. I've got a feeder for you to perch on. Hazy orange gold colour lasting white head. Hoppy but better fruit on this one more solid on the satsuma orange flavour. More fruit juicy. I'm fact pretty delicious. Liked it.

On tap at the brewery Cambridge Boston. Cloudy orange gold colour lasting white head. Toasty hop aroma. Some decent tangerine flavour. Just a little tight. They need to let the hops shine a bit more. Give them space. Decent though. Light. Drinkable.

On tap at the brewery Cambridge Boston. Turbid pale gold colour lasting white head. Dank aroma and flavour. Light citrus and light tropical fruit flavours. Light in mouth agile. Hoppy some sherbet. Grapefruit tangerine mango decent but definitely in the Neipa style. Decent bitterness on the finish though.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

Draught at the brewery, 12/13/17.
Lightly-to-moderately hazy, cherry red body topped by a pinkish-yellow head showing moderate-to-low retention.
Raspberry juice and seed is prominent and smells authentic and fairly well-integrated in the nose. Vanilla and light white pepper on the finish. Malts are light, with mild wheat and biscuit character. No alcohol or flaw. Brett is moderate while there is low lactic acidity.
In the mouth there's a good deal of sweet malt and raspberry sugar. The raspberry flavor is real/authentic yet it could use a bit more attenuation. As it is, the beer takes a backseat to the sweetness and fruit juice character while very little, if any, barrel is expressed. Very mild Brett tartness with a slightly sharp, slightly chemical off character on the very end. Light, moderately engaging carbonation.

Draught at the brewery, 12/13/17.
Dark mahogany, seemingly clear, with dark magenta highlights. Small, light tan head shows moderate-to-low retention.
The nose, while full of rich bourbon, huge toast and very light roasted barley, doesn't even prepare for the onslaught of toasted oak and bourbon to come in the flavor. Like drinking a bourbon heavy pina colada. This is absolutely destroyed by the massive, massive over-barreling. This could be a glass of literally any liquid and you wouldn't know as nothing breaks through the barrel character here. Slick-to-oily texture, light-to-moderate carbonation.

Draught at the brewery, 12/13/17.
Minimally hazy, chestnut-amber with light golden hues and an off-white-to-dark beige head atop sitting at cover.
Lightly fruity, lightly earthy coffee in the nose is even and mild, with a good dose of honey and light brown bread behind it, from the malt. Clean and free of alcohol.
In the mouth it's soft, supple and nicely carbonated, with a well-attenuated but malty character and no flaw or alcohol. Coffee is fruity and neither bitter/burnt nor stale/old tasting. It matches the honey-like malt character perfectly and the beer is incredibly drinkable.
