Boozy nice mild roast porter with plenty of coffee and chocolate notes.

Taste at Beasts & Brews. Pours a clear, straw color, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is vanilla, marigolds, green banana, and cloves. Sweet and nicely yeasty. A touch phenolic. Medium to heavy body. Bright and on-style. Lovely!

Waxed, capped 375 from Tavour at 18.9%. Pours amber/mahogany with small floating particles. Aroma of red berry, apple, yeast and malt that's of the European sort of roast - not Tmavy, but in that direction. Not dry. Heat is clearly present. Flavor is apple, malt, red berry and moderately dark fruits. Not bitter. Good flavor.

Waxed, capped 375 from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight creamy beige/tan head. Aroma of roasty/toasty malt, treacle, chocolate and some dark plummy fruits. Approaching full body. Flavor is treacle, chocolate, heat, mildly burnt malt and dark plummy fruits. Not dry, but quite astringent. Bitter, but hop or heat? Heat is strong but actually not at all annoying. Quite a tasty experience.

Taste at Trail's End. Pours black, with a dense, frothy, brown head. The nose is chocolate syrup, toasted oak, licorice, apple brandy, bold coffee, and vanilla. Sweet and malty, with a light, roasty bitterness. Heavy, grainy, and complex. Lovely.

375ml bottle pours with a nice dark colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a wide outflow of cinnamon that is pretty well integrated into the experience. Behind the cinnamon are faint murmurs of dark roasted malts and kind of a hazelnut coffee sensation. The taste delivers similar notes where the cinnamon is unmistakable but it doesn't become brash or even seem out of place. Like the aroma it's cinnamon back and forth with lesser notes of dark roasted malts. Actually, a few sips in, the dark roasted malts seem to grow in strength and in roastiness as it become a little more burnt like from time to time. Nice beer albeit expensive.

375ml bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a fair load of booziness to start and then stirring up notes of caramel, bourbon, prunes, figs and dates and then a bit more booze into the end of the draw. The taste delivers soft supple malt sweetness that quickly gives way to a rush of booze and bourbon barrel character. To midway the esters surface along side some of the reduced sugars. I get stewed prunes, dates and then a touch of blunted caramel soaked spicy oak. This checks all the boozy sipper boxes and comes across as a great experience.

bottle from Tavour. very approachable traditional Imperial Stout, aged. Not overly sweet, which i appreciate - roasted and coffee. Great

375 ml bottle from Tavour, 12/31/21. Vintage 2021 / Release 3 / Cases bottled: 99. Dark brown color, somewhat sheeting medium brown head. Vanilla and bourbon coming through over some semi-sweet coffee, roast, and a little milk chocolate. Bit of a raisin / dark fruit thing coming through underneath. A bit of heat on the palate, but overall it hides the ABV fairly well. This is a pretty tasty beer. 8/4/7/4/16

Bottle from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with some transient bubbles. Aroma of coffee, whiskey and burnt malt. Full bodied. Flavor is lightly sweet from toasted malt, there's a whiskey note that isn't bourbonish, and the main thing is coffee. Seems almost dry! I am having trouble parsing flavor things, but the flavor is really, really good.
