375ml @ Ryan's shared with Phill.
Looks darker than a single version.
Aroma: dark fruits, some heat.
Taste: more intense than single barrel, boozy, more woody, creamy.
Overall: definitely feels more intense, more of wood and booze presence, than in a single version.

Aroma: dark fruits and caramel, American oak, some creamy notes.
Taste: very rich (but not thick), a lot of dark fruits, oak. Boozy.
Overall: good, but I would prefer this one to have more body.

Draft at the brewery. Pours dark brown, with a small, tan head. The aroma is toasted oak, walnut, vanilla, cloves, and maple syrup. Sweet and sugary, with a light, nutty bitterness. Heavy, sharp, grainy, and nicely boozy. Bold, barrel-centric, and flavorful.

Draft at the brewery. Pours dark, murky brown, with a small, beige head. The nose is toffee, light whiskey, caramelized sugar, ripe apple, maple, and coconut. Sweet and boozy, with a mild, oaky bitterness. Heavy, biting, and grainy. Nice, aggressive, and barrel-forward.

Rating number 8,668, a palindrome! Also, my 400th Brewver Top 50 beer rating. This calls for a special beer style; hence this Biere de Garde from River North. 375 ml bottle from Tavour. Pours an effervescent Amber orange topped by a large, rocky, bone-colored head. Toasted malt aroma has earthy, bready notes. Some caramel sweetness as well. First sip brings notes of toasted malt and sweet honey. Soft, supple mouthfeel. Clove-like notes. Dry, spritzy finish. Tasty.
