Brownish body, with almost head. Aroma of toffee, brown sugar, dried fruits, molasses, booze. Tastes similar, more boozy. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes boozy, sweet, with toffee, molasses. Heavy and sweet stuff you can't drink much of. Quite interesting, but not on par with Belgian abbey-style ales at all. Score: 7 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 14

Ambre body, with a small, yellowish head. Aroma of toffee, honey, sweet yellow fruits. Tastes similar, but even sweeter. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes boozy, heavy, sweet. Not really my cup of tea, much too sweet and pretty heavy, I prefer it more balanced. Score: 7 / 4 / 6 / 3 / 14

Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy orange - nose has the spicy Tripel goodness with a complex underlying addition of ginger, orange, cinnamon, all spice, also some notes of apple - soft mouthfeel - flavor is lightly sweet, peppery, lightly dusty - ginger, orange, and cinnamon are the most prominent spices, but they are subtle and compliment rather than overpower the base beer’s Belgian yeast character - really well done.

Tulip at the Blake Street location - clear light amber pour - nose of caramelized maltiness and spicy yeast - flavor is medium sweet, lightly bready, with moderate finishing Belgian yeast spiciness and light basement/dust - spicy/peppery phenols linger on the palate - solid.

12.7 oz bottle. Aroma has notes of coconut, vanilla, wood, whiskey, dark fruit, dark chocolate, cashew brittle. Pours nearly black with an immediately collapsing beige head. Taste is moderately bittersweet with moderate whiskey influence—lovely notes of vanilla, coconut and wood without being overpowering in any such characteristics. A great barrel aged stout.

0,375l bottle at home. Yellow clear color, no head. Smells Marzipan, spices, stone fruits, tobacco. Nice smell. Full body, light carbonation. Tastes Marzipan, spices, tobacco, honey, lightly oxidized. Finishes light to medium sweet with notes of tobacco, honey and Marzipan. Heavy, pretty well integrated alcohol, still rather heavy.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear amber with a moderate beige head. Amber malt aroma. Approaching med body. Flavor is amber malt with a little obscure hop. Still enough hop for balance.
