Bottle. Pours clear hazel, medium beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is quite boozy, whiskey with some oak and caramel notes. Base beer was pretty beat up here. Flavor is boozy as well, light plus sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body.

375ml bottle, 2020 vintage. Chocolate aroma with notes of chili peppers, roasted malt, toasted malt, licorice and coffee. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has some retention and a thin ring of lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt, dark chocolate and licorice flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth, but dry mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with toasted malt, coffee and chili pepper flavors with the chili pepper heat lingering on the palate long after each sip. Was expecting the chilies to be subtle after all the time in the cellar, but it still has a nice kick. Quite nice.

Can shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear brown with an amber hue and a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy bread and coffee with a bit of sweetness and nuttiness underlying. Flavor has earthy grains and coffee with a growing sweetness and a touch of coffee supporting.

Bottle shared with Johnny. Opaque pitch black color, dark brown colored head. Aroma is malts, some roast, light liquorice, laurel. Flavor is malts, liquorice, laurel, light peat, band-aid, roastyness, bitter. Good but not as good as I had hoped. Too much laurel for me.

375mL bottle, 2025 vintage, drunk 8/13/25.
Clear, blonde. Small, white head, very quickly to ring.
Nice maltiness with honey and light biscuit. Clean without crude esters/phenols. Stone fruit, light cedar, light black pepper and more honey lingering.
Lots of honey almost to the point of oxidation. Gets biscuity, bready, maybe not quite oxidized. Lots of vanilla, black and white pepper and a medium body that dries out via phenols. Can't shake the feeling that it's somehow oxidized, though there is still appropriate carbonation. Low fruitiness. Really just a lot of honey-like character and pepper phenols. Very little complexity, though to be fair, in that sense, it comes off much like many ubiquitous, actual Belgian blonde ales. No booze or crudeness, though, and it's pretty well-attenuated. Some hop, even just a touch, would go a long way here, or even some bigger fruitiness from the yeast.
