(Draft at Jopenkerk, Haarlem, 20 Feb 2025) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, vanilla and milky coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel and a mild cacao bitterness in a sweetish finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, warming and candy-ish. Very nice.

(Draft at Jopenkerk, Haarlem, 20 Feb 2025) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, peaches, banana and clove. Fruity, malty taste with peaches, banana, bread and clove. Low herbal bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and refreshing. Nice one.

Nose is orange zest, grapefruit, pine nip, mandarin, melon.
Taste comprises orange peel, melon, pine needle, grass, papaya.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with juicy hop bitterness.
Okay easy drinking and approachable DIPA.

Bottle from AH Jan Linders. Color: Clear orange amber, off-white head. Aroma: Sweetish and fruity Rum. Taste: Sweetish and fruity Rum, marzipan, spicy notes, oak wood. Malty. Medium sweet, light bitterness. Long lasting dry, boozy Rum finish with a little bitterness in the background. Medium body, below average carbonation. Barrel is overwhelming far too much.

Bottle from Geers. Clear brown, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of candied plum, dried fig, varnish, bourbon, vanilla, wet wood, liquorice, Pomme d'Amour. Taste has sweet red apple, candied plum & raisin, going over a thick toffee-like and syrupy malt base with slightly herbal and phenolic notes. Lingering dried fruits in the finish, a delicate amount of herbal hops and mainly warming bourbon alcohol, giving off a whiff of woody vanilla too. Medium body, thin syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Rich in taste but clearly thinned by alcohol too.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before January 2027. Hazy, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, quite yeasty-spicy, gently fruity-floral aroma of banana, clove, lemon peel and gooseberry. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather fruity-floral and quite yeasty-spicy taste of banana, clove, grains, pear, honey and lemon peel, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, great hybrid stuff, although a bit more Weizenbock than Tripel.
